Matt and kim are they dating

We have a really good relationship and want to stay together so we’re contemplating employing a “don’t ask don’t tell” policy for hooking up with other people. In the day and age of the internet, I think anything you do is for all to see. We’ve been friends for years but suddenly I’m interested in her romantically. I’d be devastated if I ended up ruining our friendship but I’m totally smitten. See what you care more about, being with this person or having the band. You said it was your girlfriend so I expect that you love this person. So, if you’re uncomfortable with it, ask her not to do it.

If that’s something that you’re interested in going for, you should just make sure not to Google your boyfriend’s name at any point. On the one hand, it’s a terrible idea; the band is like a business and, as everyone knows, dipping your pen in the company inkwell is just a bad idea. Just say I love you, then she’ll forget all about that time. If it’s something that she really wants to do, then that’s a different story, but if it’s something that she just casually thinks might be a fun idea — and you’re not okay with it — then shut it down.

This was the duo's first album to not be self-produced.

Instead, Ben Allen, who had previously produced albums for Gnarls Barkley and Animal Collective, was one of the co-producers.

So, I mean the thing is while touring, we don't get to write a lot. But then there's the other 22 and a half, 23 hours that becomes the part that becomes tiring. We're human, but in the end we'll finish a tour after being on the same bus for a couple of months and we'll get home and be like "Alright! Speaking of going home, you recorded in your apartment on Grand Street. I think about things Diplo's produced like "Look at Me Now" or, um, what, that recent Usher song [“Climax”], which are both incredible, but just have so little happening.

And I duly obliged." Love - as well, of course, as a musical partnership - has bloomed since that first meeting and, five albums later, the long haul has been worth it.

With their new single receiving unprecedented coverage and a support slot alongside Fall Out Boy on the pop rockers’ latest UK tour, I settle down on the blower with Matt to chat about the changing perceptions of the band, both at home and abroad, as well as the success of their latest album, ‘New Glow’.
